Summerlin Parks & Trails

Few communities are built around the outdoors the way Summerlin is. More than 200 miles of trails, on the way to a planned 250, connect over 300 parks, weaving through every village and out toward Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

The Summerlin Trail System

The trail system links neighborhoods with parks, schools, and shopping so you can walk or bike almost anywhere. Multi-modal trails are 10 feet wide with both paved and soft surfaces, while separate urban trails keep cyclists and pedestrians apart for safety. A planned 20-mile route alongside State Route 159 will eventually connect the village of Stonebridge directly to the Red Rock Canyon visitor center.

Parks and pools

Summerlin has nearly 40 major community parks ranging from five to 90 acres, plus hundreds of smaller neighborhood parks. Amenities include tennis and pickleball courts, basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, sand volleyball, playgrounds, dog parks, and shaded picnic ramadas. There are five community swimming pools, and the indoor aquatic center at Faiss Park offers year-round swimming.

Red Rock Canyon at your doorstep

On Summerlin’s western edge, the trails connect to world-class hiking, climbing, and cycling at Red Rock Canyon, including its 13-mile scenic drive. For many residents, the canyon feels like an extension of the backyard.
