Summerlin is a golfer’s community, with ten golf courses woven through the master plan, from championship private clubs to public-access courses and the semi-private courses at Sun City Summerlin.
Private clubs
TPC Summerlin hosts the PGA Tour Shriners Children’s Open each fall and is the only PGA Tour venue in Las Vegas. The Summit Club, a Tom Fazio design, is among the most exclusive courses in Nevada. Red Rock Country Club offers two Arnold Palmer courses, the Mountain and the Arroyo, inside a guard-gated community, and Siena Golf Club features an 18-hole Schmidt-Curley design.
Public courses
Angel Park offers two Arnold Palmer courses open to the public, and TPC Las Vegas rounds out the public options with championship play at reasonable rates.
Bear’s Best becomes Amara Golf Club
One of Summerlin’s best-known courses is being reborn. Bear’s Best Las Vegas, the Jack Nicklaus design in The Ridges that recreated 18 of his most famous holes, sold in 2025 for 30.5 million dollars to Mulligan Holdings, led by Andrew Pascal and Mike Mixer. It closed to the public in June 2025 and is undergoing a 300 million dollar transformation into Amara Golf Club, a private club and residential enclave with a new clubhouse, dining and lounge spaces, hospitality suites, and 15 boutique villas. The private club is projected to reopen around October 2026, with the villas completed by the end of 2027.
Sun City Summerlin courses
The 55-plus community of Sun City Summerlin has three courses: Palm Valley, Highland Falls, and the Eagle Crest executive course.
