If golf is part of your retirement dream, Sun City Summerlin was practically built for you. Golf isn’t an add-on here. It’s woven right through the community, with fairways and greenbelts running behind hundreds of homes. Here’s what golf living actually looks like in this Las Vegas 55+ community.
How many golf courses does Sun City Summerlin have?
Three. The community is home to Highland Falls, Palm Valley, and Eagle Crest, and between them you get a mix of championship and executive play right inside the neighborhood. That means you’re rarely more than a few minutes from a tee time, and the courses double as the green, open backdrop for daily life here.
What are the courses like?
Rolling, mature, and tree-lined, which is a real contrast to the raw desert just outside the community. Between the three courses you get variety in length and challenge, so it works whether you’re a serious player chasing your handicap or someone who just wants a relaxed nine and a good time with the neighbors. Is Sun City Summerlin golf-cart friendly?
It is, and it’s one of my favorite things to point out to buyers. A lot of the homes here have a dedicated golf cart garage, and residents use their carts to get to the courses, the clubhouses, and all around the community. If you’ve ever wanted to drive a cart to your tee time, this is that lifestyle.
Golf beyond the course
Even if you never pick up a club, the golf shapes the community for the better. It’s why there’s so much green space, why so many homes have open views, and why the whole neighborhood feels calm and roomy. And the golf social scene, from the leagues to the groups to the clubhouse gatherings, is a big part of how people plug in when they first move here.
Can you buy a home on the golf course?
