The two courses
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed both of Red Rock Country Club’s championship courses, and each plays to a par of 72 with the red rock escarpment as a constant backdrop. One course is private and one is open to the public, which is unusual for a guard gated club and lets you experience the setting before you ever join.
Mountain Course (private)
The Mountain Course is the members course, reserved for club members and their guests. It opened in 1999 and plays longer and more dramatic through the higher desert terrain, measuring about 6,965 yards from the tips at a par of 72, with a course rating of 72.3 and a slope of 130. Expect real elevation changes, canyon views, and glimpses of the Strip.
Arroyo Course (public, daily fee)
The Arroyo Golf Club is the daily fee course and is open to the public. It opened in 2003 and winds through natural washes and mature landscaping, measuring about 6,883 yards from the tips at a par of 72, with a course rating of 70.2 and a slope of 125. It has an onsite driving range and practice area. Green fees are seasonal and dynamic, generally ranging from around $110 for super twilight up to roughly $190 at peak, so it is best to book online for the current rate or call the Arroyo at (702) 341-9200.
Membership, dining, and access
Membership at Red Rock Country Club is optional and separate from owning a home, so you can live behind the gates whether or not you join. Play on the private Mountain Course is reserved for members and their guests, while the Arroyo is open to the public on a daily fee basis.
The club offers several membership tiers. A full Golf Membership carries the highest initiation, generally in the $40,000 to $45,000 range with monthly dues around $1,050 to $1,100. An Executive Golf Membership offers a lower entry point, and there are also Tennis and Pickleball and Social Dining memberships for those who want the clubhouse, fitness, tennis, and dining without full golf access. Most tiers include a monthly food and beverage minimum, and initiation fees are one time and non refundable. The heart of the club is a roughly 44,000 square foot clubhouse with fine and casual dining, the Arroyo Grille with terrace seating, a bar and lounge, a fitness center, a resort style pool, tennis, and spa services, all with views of the Strip and the Red Rock cliffs.
